As winter settles across Limpopo, The Salvation Army responded with compassion and practical care through its 2025 Winter Relief Campaign. Corps throughout the Division worked to support those in need—offering meals, warm clothing, and comfort to people facing the challenges of the colder season.

Musina Corps
At the border gate area, Musina Corps reached out to people from various countries who were passing through or waiting. Warm meals were served to 120 individuals, and these moments of service led to meaningful conversations. Many asked where the team came from and expressed an interest in visiting the church in future—a reminder that small acts of kindness can plant seeds of connection.

William Eadie Corps
In Tshidimbini, William Eadie Corps partnered with the William Eadie Community Health Centre in support of a national HIV awareness campaign. On 7 June 2025, Captains N. and Z. Fakudze were invited to share about The Salvation Army’s mission and offer a time of devotion and prayer. Afterwards, Corps members shared tea, coffee, school buns, and donated clothing for women and children. Two visitors who had attended the clinic event joined the Sunday worship service that week, showing how community outreach can also lead to deeper connection and engagement.

Thohoyandou Corps
On 9 May 2025, Thohoyandou Corps held a Winter Relief outreach at Mvusuludzo Plaza, linking it with Child Protection Week. Passersby were invited to receive soup and bread, served with warmth and care. Ms Rejoice Nemavhola shared a short devotion, and the Corps Officer opened the time in prayer. Around 110 people were served. Later, the team visited Thohoyandou Orphanage Home and handed over 31 packs of sanitary towels for the young girls there.

Sambandou Corps
On 7 June 2025, Sambandou Corps visited homes in the Tshitavha community, handing out winter socks, small blankets, and sanitary towel packs. The team also shared printed messages of hope and took time to talk with residents. They noticed a large group of people collecting water nearby and extended their visit to that space as well. The gesture was welcomed with warmth and gratitude.

Vleifontein Corps
Vleifontein Corps reached out to Mavhonakule School for the Disabled and a local hospice centre by donating food parcels as part of the Winter Drive Campaign. The visit was filled with kindness and support for both the residents and staff, reminding them that they are seen and cared for.

Khubvi Corps
Khubvi Corps actively participated in the Winter Relief Campaign through the dedicated service of its Men’s Fellowship and Young Men’s Fellowship. The groups prepared warm food and distributed it to people in the surrounding community, sharing not only nourishment but also genuine care. Their efforts created opportunities for meaningful engagement, reflecting the heart of service that goes beyond seasons.

Across the Limpopo Division, the 2025 Winter Relief efforts reflected the heart of The Salvation Army’s mission—offering practical assistance and loving presence to people in need. Whether through a warm meal, a blanket, or a simple conversation, these actions brought comfort during a season when it was needed most. In all we do, we seek to reflect Jesus’ heart—offering compassion and care, reaching out with love to meet the needs of our neighbours.
