Seventy men and young men from around the Western Cape Division met at Athlone Corps for a BUILD Men’s Rally on Saturday, 27 September 2025. After a lively time of uplifting praise and worship, we listened to a brilliant keynote address from our Territorial Commander, Commissioner Torben Eliasen.
Three breakout sessions were then facilitated by Major Graham Brooke-Smith, Lieutenant Mpumelelo Dathini, and Anthony Bell. We shared insights and had discussions around the following topics:
- Building Faith
- Building Capacity
- Building Community
After a delicious lunch, we came back together to view a short video by Heartlines, after which the Territorial Commander wrapped up the day, tying all the parts together. Baden Kambalata gave a word of thanks, using the theme of BUILD to express appreciation to the Territorial Commander for his excellent ministry and example.
One of the greatest joys of this year’s Men’s Rally was seeing so many young men present, making up almost half the attendees. We look forward to building an even stronger Men’s Ministry in the future.
