In the Limpopo Division, we are blessed to have men and women who have taken on local leadership responsibilities in various roles. However, as with all leaders, there is a need to be fully equipped to perform their work successfully. The finance training that took place in July provided important tools to those who attended.
The Secretary for Business Administration (Captain M. Memani) worked in partnership with Captain N. Memani to first discuss financial accountability and the roles of finance local officers according to the orders and regulations. The training included practical sessions that covered Sectional Cashbooks, Corps Cashbooks, Reconciliations and more. We were encouraged to review the policies of The Salvation Army that guide our financial transactions.
It was a full day that proved beneficial to those who attended, and we believe there will be positive changes within our Division as this training has challenged us to do better. There was an opportunity to ask questions during the training, and it was encouraging to see that most of the expectations stated at the beginning were addressed by the facilitators.
